Sherlock Holmes and the Poisoned Maultäschle Soup

Yes, you read that correctly, the famous master detective Sherlock Holmes and yours truly, Dr. Watson, have ended up in the Swabian region. Admittedly not entirely voluntarily. But our genius could not turn down the invitation of an old acquaintance, the Baroness von Zuckerberg, to a gala dinner. So now we are dining here at exactly the same time in the room next to the restaurant where you are enjoying a delicious meal this evening.

While fleeing from his table neighbor, the endlessly chattering Swabian baroness, the detective narrowly misses the supposed murder of the hostess's husband, Baron von Zuckerberg.

Admittedly, his health was no longer the best. But falling forwards into the Maultäschle soup like that is not the polite English way to die, even in Swabia. For Sherlock Holmes, however, the evening, which had been deadly boring up to that point, was saved.

A dialect crime story is about to take place, and an extremely tricky case at that, because the results of the investigation seem to rule out any use of poison. The questioning of the witnesses, the forensic pathologist and some of the dinner guests makes many innocent lambs in the room appear suspicious. Eager and in a good mood, the famous detective cranks up his little grey cells. "Swabian cunning" is already taking hold, but no fake house builder will fool the master so easily. For him, the solution to the case is of course immediately obvious. As always, however, he leaves us in the dark for a while before the murderer is expertly convicted.
